Hello! In this video, we'll be showing you around the Firelight Community and giving you some tips on how to make the most out of it.
First, make sure to read our community agreements (below) to ensure that we keep this space welcoming and encouraging for everyone. You can engage with other members through Circles, which are similar to Facebook groups, and leave questions or comments about specific classes.
The Meetups tab is where you'll find the weekly schedule of everything live that we have happening, and you can RSVP to classes by clicking the hand icon. You can also customize your profile and control your notifications to make your Firelight experience the best it can be.
If you have any questions, comments, or feedback, feel free to contact our team at [email protected]. We're so glad you're here!
community agreements
Please be mindful that the members of our community come from many different walks of life and hold a variety of perspectives and experiences. We ask that you please refrain from offering unsolicited feedback or advice to other members, and always honor these Community Agreements so that we can cultivate a space that is truly welcoming to everyone.
Be Kind
We want our time together to feel warm, welcoming, and encouraging to all.
Make Space, Take Space
If you tend to be more extroverted and find it easy to share, do your best to be mindful of the others in the space and to make sure they get enough time to share, too. On the other hand, for the more introverted folks among us who find it easier to disengage, please take space! Everyone has something beautiful to contribute, so we have to work together to find the balance that leaves everyone feeling seen and heard.
Intent vs. Impact
Keep in mind that our intentions don’t always align with the impact of our words and actions — be mindful that even if you have good intentions your words may still be hurtful or harmful to others, and take responsibility for your impact, not just your intentions, so that we can keep our space truly safe and welcoming for everyone. At the same time, we want to always assume the best intentions of others, and to give as much grace as possible because we are all human and make mistakes!
Speak Up
Please reach out to us at [email protected] if you ever feel that we, or another member of the community, have not lived up to these agreements.
